I concluded my PhD in History, Philosophy, and Science teaching at Federal University of Bahia (2018) where I worked with explanations and scientific understanding in ongoing ecological research practice. For the GEOS postdoctoral position (2021-2025) my immediate research goals are twofold. First, develop a framework for engaging with expertise and epistemic peerage in inter- and transdisciplinary research. And second, expand current work on the epistemology of Traditional Ecological Knowledge through an account of Traditional Ecological Understanding. I am currently (2020-2021) a postdoctoral researcher at the Konrad Lorenz Institute (KLI), Austria working on the project ‘Ecological understanding as key to improve sustainability sciences’.
